The pattern began as a series of pencil drawings in the studio, each botanical and bird element drawn individually before being assembled into the full repeat. Pheasants move through pear branches and late-blooming roses across the sheet, a composition dense enough to reward the unwrapping as much as the gift inside.

About the artist
LINNA was founded in 2021 by celebrated illustrator Lisel Ashlock. After working as a commercial illustrator in New York for many years, Lisel traded East for West and moved with her family to Petaluma, California.
